Yep. If you've already visited your profile you'll have noticed that there are tabs. Lots of tabs. And yes, if you click on the EDIT button you'll find even more of them. And that of course means lots and lots and, well, lots of fields to fill in, boxes to check, options to choose and an almost endless amount of information to provide.

DON'T PANIC!!

The only information you HAVE to provide you already did, when you registered. Every other item is absolutely optional. Complete as many or few as you want. Any you leave blank will not be displayed on your profile, so you'll not be left with loads of empty fields showing. Do bear in mind though that the more you put, the more personalised your profile will be.

In this article we'll try to explain what each of the tabs is for...

me online

On this tab you can put links to pretty much all your pervy hangouts. Cut and paste the URL (web address) of each of your offsite profiles into the relevant fields and anyone visiting you at Tension will be able to visit you there with just a click.

So far we have Informed Consent, fetlife, TV Chix, Rubberpal, Kink Talk, Alt, CollarMe... Any we've missed, let us know and we'll think about adding those too.

Remember, these are all optional, so share only what you want to.

fet friends

The new site allows you to forge a network of friends, playmates and other connections. Whether you've accepted a connection request, or made one of your own, this is where you all come together.

To invite fellow Tensioners and Tensionettes to join you, click the appropriate dropdown item from the manage connections button on their profile. Once accepted, you'll appear in each other's fet friends tab.

they said WHAT???

This tab is your guestbook, where friends can leave comments about you... Yeah, mad, aren't we?

You'll be pleased to know that you can set the parameters for your guestbook tab yourself- you get to choose whether people can leave comments, whether those need approval by you before they're displayed, and whether you receive a notification when comments have been left.

And of course you can always delete or unpublish comments that your sicko friends have left for you...

This tab is your personal gallery. It's simple to use, and allows you to upload up to 10 images to your profile, with thumbnails displayed here.

If you're selective who you want ogling your rude bits, you get to decide whether all registered members get to see your pics too, or only those Tensioners in your fet friends list.

Do please remember though, post only pictures you've taken, you're in, and make sure you have permission from any parties involved before posting.

personal ad

The most important thing to remember about this tab is this- DO NOT do anything with this tab UNLESS you REALLY DO want your profile to include a personal contact advert.

If left alone, the personal ad tab will not appear to those visiting your profile. Remember too though that you advertise and negotiate meetings at your own risk, and so please take every caution in both the advert and subsequent communications.

my business

Just like the personal ad tab, DO NOT do anything with this tab UNLESS you REALLY DO want your profile to include a link to your business. If left alone, the tab will not appear to those visiting your profile.

Adverts don't have to be scene related, as long as members of Tension would have a use for your services. Please consider offering members a discount or other benefit.

We haven't drawn up a code of conduct for members, nor does their placement here mean that Tension authenticates them or their work. Customers and businesses are wholly responsible for any transactions that take place, and Tension will not intervene in disputes.
