Looks like this could be a little confused. Are you asking if i am punished should i be allowed to pick what i want as a punishment? or Can i ask during a scene for things i like, or do i have to endure the things i dont like?


Right, A punishment is just that it is a punishment, if your Dom(me) sees fit to punish you then no as a rule you possibly won't get to choose. This said i do know subs who have been told to go away and think of a suitable punishment. However it is rare that they get something that they like. For example, punishing me with a flogging wouldnt be a punishment, i get off on it and enjoy it, so not really a punishment, definately a treat.

If you are discussing a scene you can ask for things you like, its perfectly acceptable, still you may not get them it does depend on what your partner wants to do, they are the one on the giving side after all. You DO NOT have to accept anything that you find causes you any mental or physical distress, thats what limits are about, identifying area you are not willing and will not consent to do. If someone crosses your limits, and does so to punish you they are not worth bothering with.

It really is down to you to communicate your needs with a partner, i personally do not believe in punishments, if i want something i earn it.
I am aware of my limits and so are my play partners, i am very clear about what i will and will not tolerate, i do have areas that i dislike more than others, such as stingy pain but i will indulge in it to a certain point. Insert safeword here. It really is down to communication, never be afraid to say what you think.

No problem Sometimes whats we write doesnt always match what we have in our mind. It's a cognative issue.

For the record Tallarn Flesh is a base coat foundation type paint used to paint war hammer figures apparently, so in a round about way you could twist the meaning of the question to say your actually looking at foundations of play and painting your persona, in a strange and distinctive way. (no i dont conform to normality, but thats what makes me, me )
